Call for Volunteers

Science North and the Greater Sudbury Public Library have teamed up to put on one heck of a day full of spectacle, demonstrations, performances, and workshops at the Science North center on April 14, 2018.

Now we’re looking for you to help us make this show spectacular. Get a behind the scenes experience of Sudbury Maker Fest, meet special guests and get cool swag. If you are available April 14th, why not come be a cog in our wheel and be a part of something really great!

Types of volunteers needed:

  • Front of house – Welcome attendees, provide information and help control the crowds.
  • Logistics – Help set-up tables and equipment before the event and help take down tables and equipment after the event. Also help keep the volunteer space and the VIP space clean and safe.
  • Maker assistance – Help the makers find their location and help them set-up.
  • Play area – Help attendees participate in the play area, set-up and keep the play areas clean and safe.
  • Workshop assistance – Help attendees make their projects.
  • Presenter assistance – Introduce special guests before their scheduled presentations.
